Anna's Booktalk

Open books with the blue "Anna's Booktalk" logo on them

The next two dates of the book club Anna's Booktalk will take place on April 2 and 30, 2026 at 5 p.m. in the Anna Seghers Public Library!

The Public Library – Anna Seghers is looking forward to the next two book talk events, because we will be meeting twice in April!

First, we will meet on April 2, then again on April 30, 2026. As usual, we will meet at 5 p.m. in the public library to discuss the novel we have chosen together in a cozy and entertaining atmosphere. Just drop by, no registration is required!

The first novel in April is "Thanatopia" by Tom Hillenbrand.

This thrilling book is set in Vienna in the year 2095: when a police inspector has two identical female corpses recovered from the Danube, he stumbles upon a disturbing high-tech cult in which young people kill their own clones. During his investigation, he discovers clues to a bigger mystery. A philosophical, suspenseful thriller about death, identity, and the question of what really defines our lives.

Everyone has until April 2 to read the novel. Of course, anyone who has not read the novel (in its entirety) is also welcome to attend.

If you would like to prepare for the meeting on April 30, you are welcome to read the novel "The Vanishing Bookshop" by Evie Woods

The book tells the story of Opaline, Martha, and Henry. When they discover a mysterious, vanished bookstore, their lives change abruptly. The magical place captivates them and makes them realize that their own stories can be just as extraordinary as those in their favorite books. As they explore the secrets of the store, they enter a world full of wonders where nothing is as it seems.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts and discussing these two exciting books together!

Come by—we look forward to seeing you!
