To mark World Book Day on April 23, the Anna Seghers Public Library is hosting a special reading event in cooperation with the Silent Book Club Mainz RLP. The focus of the event is the joy of reading in a communal yet quiet atmosphere.

The concept of the Silent Reading Club is inspiring more and more people around the world and bringing them together through shared reading. This strengthens a sense of community, and the reading clubs send a clear message against loneliness.

At the regular meetings, everyone brings their own book or finds inspiration on the spot. Reading is done in silence, but not alone. The special atmosphere arises from the shared immersion in stories, thoughts, and new perspectives. This creates a place of relaxation and connection.

This form of togetherness takes on special significance, especially on World Book Day. The group reading event will take place on April 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Public Library.

The Public Library and the Silent Book Club Mainz RLP cordially invite all interested parties to be part of this special reading experience.
