Vehicle lettering

There are two versions (see samplesPDF-File1,76 MB) of vehicle lettering:

1. For police-like services such as vehicles belonging to the traffic monitoring office and the legal and regulatory office: The vehicles have a blue or silver stripe around them with the name "Landeshauptstadt Mainz" (state capital Mainz), the official name, and the complete logo on the rear of the vehicle.
2. For general service vehicles: Regardless of the vehicle color, they bear the "State Capital Mainz" logo and the office or department name on both sides of the vehicle on a uniform light gray background. Please note that only a certain amount of text can be affixed to the vehicle for vehicle lettering. In this respect, it is advisable to omit the full official name and instead have the vehicle's use indicated. Examples include "traffic monitoring," "public order office," or "surveying." The specific texts should be agreed upon by the employees with their respective department heads. If in doubt, please also consult with the public relations department.
