Emergency call points
If communication networks go down—for example, due to cyberattacks, technical malfunctions, widespread power outages, or damage caused by construction work—emergency call centers will no longer be able to receive emergency calls. In such cases, you can seek assistance at the emergency reporting centers that have been set up throughout Mainz.
Emergency reporting centers are set up by emergency response teams at various locations during extraordinary events and are staffed and accessible only during those times. These emergency reporting centers ensure that citizens can quickly get help even if the 110 and 112 emergency numbers are down by going to the nearest emergency reporting center, where the emergency call can be forwarded.
