Exhibition catalog for the special exhibition "Veronika Weingärtner: shape of color. 21st Mainz city printer"
As part of the special exhibition that opened today at the Gutenberg Museum, an exhibition catalog featuring the works of Veronika Weingärtner has been created. In addition to the exhibited works, the catalog includes a foreword by Dr. Ulf Sölter, an interview with the artist, and information about the Mainz City Printer Award.
The catalog presents Weingärtner's life and work. It focuses on the approaches, processes, and methods she uses to create her works, as well as her artistic development and exploration of printing techniques.
Weingärtner deliberately poses riddles with her untitled works. The artist's interview and the concise analyses of her works in the catalog provide insights into the ideas, the use of techniques, and the creative processes behind her works.
Through her playful and intuitive creative style, she uses various techniques, transfers, and extensions to create technically sophisticated works of art with a special depth and expressiveness.
To discover further depths in the works of the 21st City Printer and learn more about Weingärtner's creative processes, it is worth taking a look at the exhibition catalog, which can be purchased for €19.90 at the museum ticket office and in the Gutenberg Shop.

Bestseller - Letter writers. The Kreim Collection.
The Gutenberg Museum is kicking off the new year with a new bibliophile series dedicated to its special collections: "Hidden Treasures of the Gutenberg Museum." Volume 1 presents so-called "letter writers" – guides to writing letters from the time of Gutenberg to the present day, from incunabula to "netiquette" on the Internet. In the fall of 2011, the Gutenberg Museum acquired an impressive collection of letter writers from a private collection. The collection consists of more than 450 guides for letter writers from six centuries. This treasure trove became a golden linguistic treasure at the time, as letter writing guides also served as important communicative signposts and played a lasting role in the dissemination and documentation of linguistic rules. Today, letter writers are historical testimonies of that time, documenting changes in language, culture, and emancipation in relation to letter writing. Contributions from international experts and color illustrations of the originals preserved for the public at the Gutenberg Museum provide a scientific classification of the collection.
Bestseller – Letter Writer. The Kreim Collection. Edited and with a foreword by Dr. Annette Ludwig, Director of the Gutenberg Museum Mainz, with contributions by Daniela Berner, Ulrich Breuer, Carmen Furger (CH), Erwin Kreim, Claus Maywald, Jörg Meier (A), and Jörg Meißner. The publication, published by Nünnerich-Asmus Verlag & Media GmbH, is available at the Gutenberg Museum, in Gutenberg shops, and in bookstores. Cost: €20.00 (Germany) / €20.60 (Austria).
