Please note that you use the Mastadon account and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g., commenting, sharing, rating). Alternatively, you can also access all the information offered on this page on our website at www.mainz.de. We would also like to point out that even if messages to followers or specific users are only displayed to them, the administrators of the instance and the server can still access such toots, and that the recipients may also publish these toots themselves without restriction.
In addition to the information you provide when registering and creating your profile, as well as your own toots, the list of accounts you follow, and the accounts that follow you, the Mastadon instance also processes your IP address, information about your operating system, your internet browser, and the time of access. This information is stored in logs and may be retained for up to 90 days, with the IP address used being retained for up to 12 months.

IV. Purposes and legal basis of processing
The state capital of Mainz operates the Mastadon account in order to provide its citizens and other interested parties with additional information about its work and the state capital of Mainz as such.
