Application portal open for Intercultural Week 2026
The 51st Intercultural Week will take place in Mainz from September 11 to 20, 2026. All Mainz migrant cultural and heritage associations as well as all faith communities are invited to apply for an event or stand at the Intercultural Festival by May 5, 2026.
This year, the Intercultural Festival will once again take place on September 13, 2026, at the traditional venue of Domplatz. Over 80,000 people with roots in more than 160 countries live in Mainz. This diversity has been celebrated for over 50 years through Intercultural Week.
The annual Intercultural Week (IKW), held every September, has been organized by the state capital of Mainz since 1976. During this week, the Office for Migration and Integration, the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration, Mainz-based migrant organizations, and initiatives active in migration work in Mainz present themselves.
