Federal program: Project funding within the "Partnership for Democracy"
The state capital of Mainz has already been participating in the federal "Live Democracy!" program as a "Partnership for Democracy" for several years and will once again receive funding for 2026. As part of the Mainz Partnership for Democracy, funds are therefore available to support external third-party projects, which can be passed on to external organizers upon application.
In its third funding period (2025 to 2032), the federal program is part of the strategy “Together for Democracy and Against Extremism—The Federal Government’s Strategy for a Strong, Resilient Democracy and an Open and Diverse Society.” Through the Partnerships for Democracy, the program supports individuals and organizations active in civil society and democracy who are committed to promoting democracy in their local communities.
At the same time, by participating in the federal program, the state capital of Mainz supports projects that promote respectful coexistence, combat right-wing extremism, and foster a vibrant democracy.
