During the transition, the platform is expected to be unavailable from 10:00 p.m. on March 23 until March 24. But the short wait will be worth it—the revamped Onleihe brings many exciting new features. In addition to the ability to extend the loan period for all types of media, there is now cross-device synchronization of reading and game progress. An unlimited wish list, a borrowing history, and an eye-friendly dark mode provide even more convenience. To make the transition easier, the Public Library recommends picking up all reservations that are ready before the transition.

Users should ensure that their devices have the latest software updates and meet the minimum requirements.

The new Onleihe App 3.0 is already available for free download on smartphones and tablets. For use on PCs, laptops, or e-readers (PocketBook, tolino), the central library catalog is available at https://rlp.onleihe.de/. 

Important: The old Onleihe app will no longer be supported after the transition.
