A building permit is required if:

• advertising structures are erected,
• Advertising structures are modified,

unless they are exempt from building permits in accordance with § 62 of the State Building Code (LBauO).

You must submit your application for a building permit in writing to the building authority. We will issue the building permit in writing if the building project does not conflict with any building regulations or other public law provisions that must be examined in the building permit procedure.

The building permit expires within 4 years of its delivery if

• the project has not been started.
• the execution has been interrupted for 4 years.

The execution of a project is only considered to have begun or not to have been interrupted if substantial construction work has been carried out within the period.

Further regulations may arise from design statutes or stipulations in development plans.

A written building application is required.

The contents are based on the State Building Code (LBauO), the Building Document Inspection Ordinance (BauuntPrüfV), and other regulations.

• The fees are based on the respective construction project.
• They are calculated on the basis of a state regulation (special fee schedule).
