Land values serve to promote transparency in the real estate market. As average location values for land, they apply to a majority of properties that are essentially identical in terms of use and value. They are determined on January 1 of every even-numbered calendar year based on the square meter area of the property.

The state ordinance on fees charged by surveying and cadastral authorities and expert committees (special fee schedule) applies. Fees ranging from €22.00 to €94.00 are charged for printed extracts from the standard land value maps, depending on the format.
