Tell your funeral home explicitly that you want cremation in Mainz. Since cremations are not tied to a specific location, the funeral home may otherwise arrange for cremation at a crematorium in the surrounding area.

The Mainz crematorium will arrange the second official medical examination of the body required by law prior to cremation.

If you wish, you as the next of kin may attend the cremation. We will be happy to inform you of the exact time of the cremation in advance or carry it out on a date of your choice. Please feel free to contact our staff at any time and let us know what is important to you.
