The Advisory Board for Digitalization advises the state capital on shaping its digital future and brings together experts from business, science and society.
Together, we develop innovative solutions to make Mainz networked, modern and fit for the future
The advisory board is tasked with advising the administration, the main office, municipal companies, and the city council on all fundamental issues relating to digitalization.
Within this framework, it discusses, evaluates, and develops digitization measures and projects and contributes innovative ideas from the urban community to this process. The advisory board is to support the further development and implementation of the digitization strategy of the state capital of Mainz and promote cooperation in the process. The advisory board's recommendations are intended to influence decisions on digitization in the city of Mainz, in particular those of the city council, the city administration, and city-affiliated companies, but also those of the private sector and the urban community.
The Advisory Board for Digitalization is composed of 22 voting members, including the mayor, the political parties, and various organizations: Mainzer Stadtwerke AG, Mainzer Wissenschaftsallianz e.V., Rheinhessen Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Freifunk Mainz e.V., IT-Klub Mainz & Rheinhessen e.V., Senior Citizens' Advisory Council, Advisory Council for People with Disabilities, Advisory Council for Migration and Integration, German Trade Union Confederation Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland, and Stadtjugendring Mainz e.V..
