The LeAn® tool, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, is a tool for local authorities to design vibrant city centers and downtown areas.
It is a digital platform for forward-looking vacancy and settlement management that brings all user groups together at a "digital" table under the leadership of the municipality.
The data protection-compliant web application makes it easier for municipalities to manage their existing space, provides an up-to-date overview of property occupancy and (impending) vacancies, contains a dashboard with comprehensive relevant data on the property's surroundings and usability, and records settlement requests for city-specific settlement management.
As an ecosystem for inner-city stakeholders, LeAn® enables local authorities to respond quickly and match properties and reuse concepts precisely for sustainable neighborhood enhancement. Providers benefit from an attractive environment and simplified location search, while property owners and the brokerage industry receive professional property exposés and the opportunity to actively shape the city center in a data-driven manner in collaboration with the municipality. In the long term, there are plans to expand the platform to include commercial and industrial areas and to use LeAn in city districts.
Created as part of the project "City Labs for Germany: Vacancies and Settlement" funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, LeAn® provides the basis for a dialogue between all inner-city stakeholders on an equal footing and the foundation for standardized processes that enable forward-looking design.
