For important administrative procedures, we recommend calling the government hotline at 115 to check whether the local administration office is open as scheduled. Foreign citizens can
only register at the Citizens' Office, Kaiserstrasse 3-5.

The local administration office may close early if there is a high volume of visitors.
Experience has shown that the local administration office is busiest on service afternoons. You can expect shorter waiting times on service mornings.
