The electronic identity verification feature is the online ID function of your national ID card, your electronic residence permit, or the eID card for EU citizens, which you can use, for example, to complete digital transactions with government agencies or to verify your identity when using online services.
If your address changes, you must have the address updated on these documents.
You can apply to have your address updated on the chip of your national ID card or your eID card for EU citizens either online (provided the local government at your new place of residence offers electronic registration of residence) or in person at the citizens’ office in your new place of residence. You can have the address on the chip of your electronic residence permit updated in person at the Foreigners’ Registration Office at your new place of residence.
You must present your registration confirmation as proof of your new address.

• You have a valid national ID card, an electronic residence permit, or an eID card for EU citizens.
• You have a current registration confirmation as proof of your change of address.

You can apply to change the address on your electronic identity document—either your national ID card or your eID card for EU citizens—online (provided that the local government at your new place of residence offers electronic registration of residence) or in person at the citizens’ office in your new place of residence.  You can apply in person at the relevant
immigration office at your new place of residence to update the address on the chip of your electronic residence permit.

• When you visit the office, you must present your valid national ID card, electronic residence permit, or eID card for EU citizens, as well as your registration confirmation.
• The authorities will store your new address on the chip of your national ID card, on your electronic residence permit, or on the eID card for EU citizens.
