If you have registered a civil partnership and need a new civil partnership certificate, you can apply for one at the registry office. To do so, please contact the registry office where you entered into your civil partnership.
The civil partnership certificate serves as proof that you entered into a civil partnership and includes the first and last names of the partners at the time the partnership was established and prior to that, the place and date of birth of each partner, the place and date the civil partnership was established, and information regarding the religious affiliation of each partner.
You may request a civil partnership certificate at any time from the civil registry office in whose jurisdiction you entered into the civil partnership.
You can obtain the civil partnership certificate in the following formats:
- Civil Partnership Certificate
- Certified printout from the civil partnership registry
A certified printout from the civil partnership registry contains all the data that the civil registry office entered in connection with the formation of the civil partnership;
You will receive the certificate, including any marginal notes, either as
- a new printout from the electronic registry (if your civil registry office already maintains one) or
- as a copy or verbatim transcript of the civil partnership entry from the civil partnership registry.
In addition to the details, the printout also includes subsequent changes, such as notes regarding dissolution, if applicable.
