Registry office
New naming rights will apply from May 1, 2025. Please send any questions and appointment requests to [namenserklaerungstadt.mainzde](mailto:namenserklaerungstadt.mainzde). Certificates from the registers can be requested online via downloads/links or in writing. It is possible to leave the church online or in writing with a certified declaration.
Please direct any questions or requests for appointments regarding the new naming law to namenserklaerungstadt.mainzde. Please provide your name, address, and telephone number. Our colleagues will then contact you. Information on important changes can be found under Downloads.
Requesting certificates
Under Downloads/Links, you will find our order and payment system for certificates from the birth, marriage, civil partnership, and death registers.
Alternatively, you can request certificates in writing or by fax. Please enclose a copy of your identity card or passport. You will find the contact details in the contact box.
Leaving the church
If you would like to submit a declaration of withdrawal from the church, you will find the option to request an appointment under Downloads/Links Church withdrawal. There you can make an appointment online.
Alternatively, you can submit the declaration in writing to the registry office. The declaration must be officially certified (e.g., by a notary).
