To highlight the climate protection efforts of Mainzer Stadtwerke AG and the city of Mainz, we document the progress of these long-term processes in a sustainability monitor (MoNa) – a digital display board. However, MoNa in its current form is only a starting point. Ultimately, Mainzer Stadtwerke AG and the city of Mainz want to map all 17 sustainable development goals that the United Nations (UN) is striving to achieve worldwide to ensure sustainable development on an economic, social, and ecological level. Further expansion of the platform and the integration of real-time data are planned.

This project aims to develop a target vision for all ongoing topics related to construction sites. How can these projects work together and create added value for citizens? 

Ongoing projects or project ideas include:

• Call for tenders for construction site software for the approval of construction sites.
• Installation of buoys with sensors (displaying the actual location using LoRaWAN and geodata).
• Linking information about construction sites to navigation systems.

Digitization and networking offer public transport companies the opportunity to replace conventional passenger information systems with expanded digital information and communication channels. Digital stop displays and interactive information screens can provide real-time information about departure times, connections, and disruptions in line with customers' mobility needs. The project idea aims to further advance the digitization of information pillars at stops in Mainz and make the information on offer more attractive in order to redirect motorized individual transport users to public transport.

There are a wide variety of requirements for a new neighborhood or district for a variety of reasons. With the help of a virtual neighborhood, these requirements can be determined jointly even before planning begins. Simulations and other digital tools are used to generate ideas in advance, which can then be incorporated into the planning process, for example, in the provision of energy or public transportation connections. 

The project is an interdisciplinary innovation topic. The aim is to map all urban infrastructure in the long term, incorporating all urban data and enabling interdisciplinary administrative action. The project will make simulations, analyses, scenario developments, planning, and decision-making processes more understandable for third parties. Agile management of concurrent projects is promoted. Fundamental decisions still need to be made during development, which should contribute to prioritizing the first steps and defining initial uses and areas of application based on technical requirements and initial announced products.
